Multifunctional and Works well
I bought this kitchen butane torch for a sister as a gift after buying one for myself. It is great for people that like to cook. She has used it to sear meats, seafood and desserts. It can also be used to light BBQs, fireplaces and you can also work on plumbing fixtures. It is light weight, easy to use and affordable. Just insert the butane canister into torch, adjust the flame and it is ready to use. I definitely recommend this product!

Updated review: works much better after “break-in” period
UPDATE: After a break-in period of a bunch of uses, this torch has performed very well. I use it for starting fires in the fireplace and when camping. The flame is powerful and ignition is (now) fast and easy.I've experienced difficulty lighting this torch, requiring many, many clicks of the igniter (while propane spews from the torch nozzle) before igniting. Once the flame ignites it is a massive yellow flame, as opposed to a fine, contained blue torch. I did manage to adjust the flame for short periods of time to perform as would be expected, but it was temporary, and the inconsistent, uncontrollable flame returned.

This product leaks gas. The lighter itself caught fire — the whole thing started burning, and my hand almost got burned too. I was so shocked that my heart was pounding.This happened on the very first day I used the brand-new product. I tried to file a complaint and return it, but the seller refused, citing safety risks.So who is going to take responsibility for this issue, and who will issue the refund?Do not buy this product. It is poorly made, unsafe, and could seriously burn your hand.The seller is extremely irresponsible.
