Lakeland Garlic Slice and Dice – Easily Crushes Garlic Includes Cleaning Tool Dishwasher Safe

Easy to use and easy to clean.

This is the best kitchen tool I've bought in a long time. Works perfectly: two different sized slicing grids included (one stowed snugly underneath); a roughening surface under the spare grid; and a removable plastic grid behind the plastic pegs in order to assist cleaning - nice touch! Overall a great piece of kit and a nice price. I have no complaints.

For a long time, I had been struggling to operate the more usual type of garlic press, but this makes it a doddle. If you cut the garlic clove in half, lengthways, and put it cut side down and right in the middle of the press, it is even easier!On the down side, I do find it very difficult to clean the last bit of garlic out of the plastic grid on the underside of the lid takes an old toothbrush and quite a bit of time to do so - cleanability is something that the manufacturer might like to look at improving?

I bought this to replace my old one which fell apart after 12 years. This design is neater and easier to use. I just take it apart, rinse it and then pop it in the dishwasher. Great for sliced or minced garlic.

I like a little fried garlic sprinkled on rice/noodles or soup. Fried garlic in the shops is ridiculously expensive but preparing it ourselves is both time consuming and garlic juice will give a mild chemical burn to the skin as I have learned to my cost. So in order to prepare about 20 bulbs of garlic that we would've hand diced before frying, I happened to see a review of this tool and thought i would give it a go. The tool is compact and whilst its not designed for the volume of garlic cloves we had to process. The blades were fine but the beaker that stores the cut cloves beneath the blades was a little small. Having said that dicing was a breeze and with regular emptying of the beaker the garlic was ready for frying in a 10th of the time. I will be using this gadget next time and it was easy to clean and does save a lot of time. The only downside i can see is that the cutting process is a physical one where by you push the garlic through the blades so it may not be the tool for anyone with wrist arm or shoulder issues.

does a nice job dicing garlic which has had outer skin removed. Best device yet. Not cheap but worth the money

I have gone through 3 garlic presses in the last 2-3 years and all have broken and never seemed to squeeze 100%of the garlic. (All good brands and from reputable chefs)I searched an alternative ways of dicing garlic without getting down and dirty. This lakeland device seemed like a good alternative to try out without spending a lot of money.I haven't had it for long, so not sure how durable it is.So far I can feel it is robust, I have put the device in the dishwasher (survived) and it is easy to clean by hand and getting rid of any excess garlic (which is rare comparing to a garlic press)

Brought to replace a similar one that broke. Not had it long but great so far, essential bit of kitchen kit.
