Rebuilt/re-finished a destroyed hubcap. Excellent product!
Months ago, my wife hit a curb and lost a hubcap on our car. £40 each to replace! Even scuffed up second-hand ones go for £30+ on eBay. I couldn't stand looking at my car like that though as the alloys underneath are in a terrible condition, so I bought this smashed up one off eBay for a tenner. Then I bought this resin body filler and got to work once it arrived.I've never used resin body filler before, so I was really glad that the instructions were very clear, illustrated and written in plain English. I was able to get going straight away used a piece of leftover cardboard to mix up the filler on.As the instructions noted, I started off with just a small bit to get used to using it and also understand how long it takes to dry. It dries very quickly! Definitely inside three minutes, so be prepared to apply it. I roughly sanded the plastic surface of this hubcap with 80 grit sandpaper and it adhered to it very well.As you can see, I also rebuilt sections of the hubcap using sellotape to put the filler on, applying a lot of it (unsurprisingly it didn't adhere to the slick sellotape and moved around a lot) and then sanding it down, again with 80 grit, then moving to 120 grit once the majority of it had been removed.I then primed the surface and sprayed it, with the paint adhering nicely to the filler. The final result is very strong, much stronger than I though, at least and I'm really pleased with the result. This is excellent stuff, great value for money and ideal to have around as you can see it has a number of applications. If you appreciated this review, please leave a like and feel free to check out my website DadBuddyReviews for a step by step guide on how to rebuild hubcaps if you're in the same boat!

Excellent product - easy to use
I was sceptical about using this but nicely surprised. Mixes and dries quickly and provides a very good smooth finish when sanded.

Unfilled tin
Good product but disappointed with the quantity, the tin was just less than half full. So if there is 250ml for a full tin then thats poor, or is the tin to big, and there was 250ml ?
