This ice bag is very good. It’s a little larger than most ice bags (though smaller than the photo suggests) and fits easily around the ankle. Watertight and excellent stopper. The skin is a little fragile so I wouldn’t try to bang it in the counter to break up ice inside it.

I’ve used these ice packs for maybe eight years now; they are outstanding. The material is great: comfortable against the skin, very durable but thin enough to let the cold get through. And unlike most other bags I’ve used (such as Body Glove back in the day), these last years before they start to get wet on the outside as the ice inside melts. Sadly, the latest iteration has one flaw that the old packs didn’t have. Although the opening for the cap is the same size, the bag material just below the opening is wound in a way that restricts entry, and especially exit of the ice. Filling the bag is a chore as the ice logjams unless you put the ice in one or two cubes at time. Emptying the bag is much worse. It is frustrating enough to lose a whole star.

Nursing broken ribs and it worked so well I ordered the small and medium too, far outweighs the frozen gel packs.

I'm picky and these are awesome. they flatten out to about 13 to 14 inches with sufficient ice and it stays cold for 6 hours or little more. absolutely love it. some reviews on here said it leaks. I have 2 of them and no leaks at all. Maybe the didn't tighten it enough or maybe they though the slight bag sweat was a leak. it's not, that's normal. buy one you won't be disappointed.
