This is the first time I’m using this specific type of gorilla gel, so I have no past experience and knowledge about it. So, judging based on what I received, I am quite happy with it. The gel is a bit on the thicker, sticker side, but I don’t mind it. I recommend applying it to damp hair so you can distribute the gel better. I appreciate the size, and with daily use, I’d say it can last me a little more than a year as I have hair on the shorter side. I like the design/style, and appreciate the scent- it a light, pleasant, masculine scent. My hair is a bit more on the thicker side, and with this gel, I’m able to keep my hair in place for the whole day. It has a glossy finish which over time, becomes less noticeable. I have to say, though, if you put too much, it can make your hair too stiff which can make it “crunchy.” However, I’d definitely recommend this product and consider worth the price.

Strong all day/night hold to achieve any desired style, yet can rework styling with spritz of water, doesn’t flake, smells great and is water soluble so it washes completely out easily. A little product goes a long way. I prefer this gel product over any high dollar salon/barber brand product I’ve used for boys and men’s hair styling or short women’s styles too.

My hispanic husband loves this gel!!!He has hard stubborn hair. It function and thickness to me Im gonna be honest it makes your hair really hard and if you touch the hair it flakes but my husband loves it. Thats why I gave it a 5 star because he loves it. It doesnt moisterize n its very durable and the size is a good size. I dont like it for myself but like I said.. my husband loves it and it works wonders on his hair

While it is a 10-hold, it’s so super-sticky and dries so quickly that, unless diluted with a bit of water, it’s more difficult to spread and separate clumps of hair into spikes — though it holds GREAT! I also prefer a bit of a shine in my hair gels and the YELLOW yields more of a matte finish. The gel is pale yellow in color and it has a subtle, fresh, pleasant, yet hard-to-describe scent that also doesn’t linger.👍🏻 OLD FORMULA (original GREEN bottle): Out of all of the various types of Gorilla Snot Gels, this is one of my favorites due to its ease of use, sheen and scent. The smell is not offensive/doesn’t linger. The hold level is a 7, but I find it holds my short, spiky hair well throughout the day. The spikes stay clumped together but aren’t so hard that you’d accidentally poke someone’s eye out during a hug. Compared to the other RED, BLUE and YELLOW bottles — which have higher levels of hold — this works almost as well. I just ordered a 3-pack replacement of it and…(see below).👎🏻 The BLUE bottle (10-hold) holds great. The gel is a whitish/clear color. However, I CANNOT STAND the lingering, gag-inducing mint smell. (Will be passed-on to someone else.)👍🏻 The RED bottle (9-hold) is my second-favorite. It holds very well, seems to take a bit longer to dry/set than the YELLOW, but is easier to work with and has a somewhat glossy finish. To achieve hard, dangerous spikes, more is required but can weigh hair down and hamper its effect. It is a light-pinkish color and has a mild, cherry scent. I just ordered a 3-pack replacement of it as well and…(see below).👎🏻 I’d tried the PURPLE bottle but HATED THE SCENT of that one and gave it to a nephew; I don’t 100% recall its aroma — possibly either sickeningly-sweet-smelling or minty. It USED to have a lighter, citrusy smell…now it’s more musky. The hold and sheen appear to have remained the same]. My husband got a Mawhak hair cut and this is perfect to keep the hair up. The only thing is that leaves white residue.

I’ve tried a lot of hair gels, but this stuff could probably hold a car bumper in place. I put it on in the morning, go through wind, sweat, stress, and a bad decision or two and my hair doesn’t move. It’s like concrete, but for style.It smells kind of fruity at first, like a banana went to a rave, but that fades as it dries quickly. I’ve had days where my hair looked better at 10 p.m. than it did at 8 a.m. It washes out pretty easily with warm water and doesn’t leave buildup like other gels I’ve tried. If you're looking for serious hold with flexibility, this is the one.

I have used this product in the past, and I love it. I spike my hair, and this gel has long-lasting hold. The price is fantastic for a 3-pack of squeezable bottles of 11.99 oz.
