Dell Professional P2417H 23.8" FHD 1080p Screen LED-Lit Monitor, Black

Overall, a great monitor for business or home use.Comparison to previous modelWe were using the previous model, P2414H and recently switched over to the P2417H.* We like having the USB on the side now instead of on the back, it's much easier to access now.* For some users, 24" is too wide for dual screens. We've switched them to the 22" version and they are happy.* The bezel is thinner, which we like.* The hole on the stand for cable management is bigger which makes it easier to pull the cables through for cable management.DisplayThe screen quality is still excellent. We did have to return 1 of our P2414H's because it had a green line, but the other 10+ have had no problems.Packaging* Sturdy, but the extremely folded cardboard inserts are a bit hard to remove and break down for disposal.* Love that all the packaging is recyclable!

The pros of this product are that it is adjustable in every way. It’s a nice big screen. The the only con is that it doesn’t come with an hdmi cord. I was lucky to have a spare one. I’m giving this a five star review because my school has these monitors and they have been there for years. For the people that are having screen issues don’t blame dell. Obviously depending on if you got new or used you get different results. I bought mine new 23.8 inch. It’s not exactly 23.8 though. The screen is still big enough so I don’t care and there are scratches in the base of the stand. I think I made the scratches when it fell off my couch. The screen is plenty bright enough. I only have mine at 75%.

I bought two of these. For the work I do, I needed a double monitor set-up. One in landscape (horizontal) position and the other in portrait (vertical) position. It took me awhile to find monitors for this configuration, and I'm glad I got these Dell monitors. The inputs are perfect, too. The laptop I use with these monitors has a VGA port and a DP port. Many of the other monitors I looked at would have required adapters. But these monitors have both types of ports I needed, plus HDMI, so I was able to plug one into each port of my laptop. The monitors came with the cords I needed, so I didn't have to buy anything else. The price was pretty good, too. I've been using these for about 2 months now, and I have zero complaints.

I ordered two of these excellent monitors and am very pleased with them. They elevate and rotate easily. As a writer, I especially appreciate the portrait mode, which allows me to see entire pages even with the font size set moderately large. Then bezels and clean design are great. The packaging was some of the best I've seen. The monitors were well protected during shipment. To put my praise in perspective, these two Dell monitors replaced three superb but older Sony monitors that were still doing a great job. But, the Sony monitors don't elevate or rotate and the Dell monitors do.

After less than one year of use, I see a white patch on the screen near the power button. I'm assuming the LED light is bleeding to the display. This is only noticeable in dim lights. Everything else was great and really liked the Dell driver for it.

I bought this monitor to supplement my laptop screen while working at home. I read and write a lot of documents so the feature to rotate the screen 90 degrees has come in very handy.Assembly and setup was just 10min. There was no need to adjust picture or brightness, but even if I did the few button controls at the lower right corner were easy to work and intuitive.

The seller of this monitor is in Panama, per Dell support.. As a result, Dell does not support monitors purchased in the US on Amazon. I purchased this Dell monitor P2417H as a duplicate to another monitor so I could have 2 monitors. This monitor has messed up colors. The white on this monitor shows up as a pale yellow. The same model P2417H that I purchased a few months ago at MicroCenter in Atlanta is much better and the white looks more natural. For some reason, the Dell monitors sold on Amazon are inferior to the Dell monitors that you can purchase locally in the US at Best Buys or Microcenter. The colors will look different even though they are the exact same monitors!When I called Dell support, they kept transferring me to different international support departments, even though I live and purchased this in the U.S. on Amazon. Their support was horrible. The rep was based in India and the language barrier was difficult. They speak like robots and did not care whether I return it.I will keep my old Acer monitor as the 2nd monitor which displayed much better.

Well for a Dell I have found it to be the best I have had for a good while. Phenomenal picture.
