Cat likes it!
Bought to feed a stray cat that lives in our neighborhood. So far she’s ate every flavor. Smells how you would expect cat food to smell.

Addictive!!!!!
I opted for this selection from Wellness since it's affordable variety from Wellness. Typically I buy the Core selection however Core has a limited range of flavors. All three flavors in this line up had my cat acting like a junkie. She typically has the pate from the Core line as well as pate from other companies. These options here, all of them my cat immediately ate. Typically my cat doesn't eat chicken from the can. She will eat raw chicken, freeze dried chicken and home made cooked chicken when presented. For what ever reasons after eating the selects, since this was ordered before I was able to make it to the local pet store she wanted nothing less than the selects. Her normal pates she started to refuse. This is mutiple flavors from multiple brands. Lamb from Ziwi Peak/Feline Natual, chicken and lamb from Ziwi Peak/Fussie Cat, rabbit from Rawz and turkey also from Rawz all denied. These are foods she's enjoyed in the past and was always in rotation with her kibble flavored chicken and whitefish.Once she got a taste of the selects nothing else was good enough for her. I needed to immediately get her off as for one these foods has guar gum which my cat is sensitive to. Secondly, this line up is high in carbs given that it's covered in gravy/sauce. Ingredient list both potatoes and tapioca starch which is pretty much nothing but sugar in the sauce. The food is basically sweet meat. You can taste the sugar in the sauce too. Cats can't taste sweet the way we do but my god was my cat addicted.I ended up going on a 3 day detox from the signature selects. For two days I continued to present her normal foods along with her kibble and some freeze dried options. Both days she refused her pate in exchange for her kibble and freeze dried. Day three of the detox after the morning kibble breakfast since she once again denied her pate not from the Core line up, I ended up pulling all the kibble. Normally I allow my girl to graze her kibble bowl which in most cases she doesn't eat much of except as a tiny snack between meals. Detox day 3, no grazing of kibble or freeze dried food allowed. So for much of day three she was extremely hungry. She was already hungry from going two days with less than a full meal. My cat was being very defiant thinking she could hold out long enough for me to present her with Wellness Signature Selects starving herself. Finally presented her a pate from the Core line up which once again denied. Knowing how hungry she was and the fact I can register some level of weight loss from the lack of eating, I ended up spoon feeding her a few bites of the pate. Ultimately having had these small bites she came back around to eating her normal food.THREE LONG DAYS OF STARVATION to get her off Wellness Selects. I don't know what they put into this line up but I don't think it's super healthy. My cat should have been able to move onto her beloved flavor profiles easily but nope. After the detox I ended up passing the last three cans of the signature selects off to a friend. Moving forward, the selects is out in favor of Core from Wellness and the other brands mentioned earlier that don't have gums in their food.Overall this is an excellent option for your cat if they don't develop addiction like behaviors for this product. Your cat should eat when hungry but not showcase behaviors of excessive following around meal time related to their preferred food, loud vocalizations and denial of old favored food. This three day detox was stressful for both my cat and myself but sticking it out paid off.

“A Luminous Feast for Our Feline Companions: Wellness CORE Signature Selects Cat Food”
In the quietude of our cozy abodes, where sunbeams trace delicate patterns on the floor, there exists a humble treasure—the Wellness CORE Grain-Free Signature Selects Wet Cat Food. A name that dances on the tongue, it conjures visions of delight for our discerning feline friends.Within the unassuming 2.8-ounce cans, a symphony of flavors awaits. Each morsel, a pocket-shaped revelation, marries the ocean’s bounty with the essence of poultry. The seafood variety pack, a trident of taste, offers three purr-worthy flavors:Skipjack Tuna & Wild Salmon Entrée in Broth: Tender shreds of tuna and salmon, bathed in a savory broth.Skipjack Tuna & Shrimp Entrée in Broth: A delicate dance of tuna and succulent shrimp, their flavors entwined.Boneless Chicken & Wild Salmon Entrée in Sauce: A harmonious blend of land and sea, where chicken meets salmon in a velvety sauce. And oh, the texture! These entrées, prepared by hand, are a testament to simplicity and taste. The cuts of real seafood, whether flaked or chunky, evoke moonlit prowls and whispered secrets. As I slide the spoon into the can, the aroma—a whispered promise of satisfaction—fills the room. My cat, a sage observer of life’s nuances, pads over, eyes alight with anticipation. The first bite—a delicate fusion of sea and land—elicits a purr. The tuna, its essence untamed, yields to the chicken’s familiarity. The shrimp, a fleeting indulgence, leaves a trace of brine on the palate. It is as if the Wellness CORE cat food knows the secrets of midnight conversations between whiskers and stars.

The only food I feed our cat
I have purchased over the years about every single brand of wet cat food one can find, with picky cats who know when you are trying to pull a fast one on them. With the majority of other cat foods either the ingredients include too much grain and potatoes (which cats should not eat), or tons of Tuna which also is not great for cats either. This brand is both healthy and seems to be a fav of most of the cats myself and friends have had over the years. With the costs of cat food going up, I prefer unsalted salmon human grade food to actual cat food, but this is convenient.
