Solid for fast but detailed framing adjustments
This is a great product if you are in need of a geared tripod head that offers quick but also accurate small adjustments at a fair price. The trigger release makes it easy and quick to get big adjustments close to like you are using a ball head but with predictable results and fine adjustments good enough for 95%+ professional detailed tripod composing. I've been using a variety of tripod heads of many varieties since 2001. QR plate is nice as well.

Precise, Nimble Geared Head for Macro and Focus-Stack Compositions
This is one in a reasonably priced line of Manfrotto geared heads. I own and use the all-metal 405 Junior version that is heavier than this plastic model. The 405 is perfect for heavier camera/lens combos. The weight capacity for this one is about half that of the 405, making it perfect for precise macro and focus-stack applications. Its gears move MUCH more readily than those of the 405 and is, therefore, a positive pleasure to use, even in Winter out-of-doors. It holds my Canon 7DII or Sony a7R paired with the Canon 100mm f2.8 L or Tamron 180mm Macro lenses securely, allowing precise, secure, nimble adjustments for those ever so critical compositional moves. The only negative is the Manfrotto QR clamp -- a design I dislike. For $100 or so extra, I replace it with an industry standard Arca-Swiss clamp made by Hejnar to give my geared heads a professional adjustment flourish compatible with all my lenses.

Very Sturdy... but don't take it beyond it's weight rating!!!
I have a 69.3% waining gibbous to shoot tonight. I grabbed my 400mm Nikon f/2.8 and mounted it to the Manfrotto MHXPRO-3WG Geared 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head.Ain't happening' folks. While this pan head can handle all my medium primes and zooms, the bigger primes are just too much. I had it mounted on the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO4 055 Carbon Fiber 4-Section Tripod, which is more than strong enough for the larger primes. The head wobbled and made me nearly wet myself when I saw the camera and lens start to drop backwards on the tripod rapidly. I got it but damn... getting too old for this. To be fair, the pan head is only rated for 8.8 pounds, but I've had tripod heads rated for similar weights and do just fine with my bigger lenses. So, when the manufacturer says 8.8 ponds, 15 ponds is waaayyyyyyyy too much. Good call, Manfrotto! It's a great tripod head for my (3lb) 4x5 as well, but not strong enough for a D850 and the large prime. I grabbed my old Bogen tripod and the video head that I've had since 1992 and used it. Overall, I give it a solid 4 and will continue to use it as my primary head for everything but the big lenses.

This is an excellent well made micro adjust head
I have a Nikon P1000 wich has a 3000mm optical zoom lens and as you would expect, training the camera at 3000mm is a bit of a challenge. This head is perfect for that. It has 3 axis coarse and fine adjustment so you can even set the horizon level which is a great feature. The only drawback is the same with all micro heads that it doesn't do panning and tilting like you woud do in a video as it only has a coarse and fine adjustment. So this (or any micro adjust head) is not a replacement for a fluid head where you would need to pan or tilt more than 10 degrees. However you can use the microadjustment to pan and tilt on a micro basis which is excellent when shooting 3000mm .. much better than a conventional pan and tilt head for that purpose.
