KORADKA6003P - Programmable Precision Variable Adjustable 60V, 3A DC Linear Power Supply Digital Regulated Lab Grade

I have a couple KA3005P's and this KA6003P and they all work like a charm. I was a bit worried, actually, because the very well-respected EEVvblog had a 2012 review that failed the device, but after some more digging it looks like KORAD took it to heart and fixed the issues since then.The two things I love the most about this power supply are (1) A separate on-off switch for the output with a software-controlled relay, so powering up the load is always clean. And (2) When you edit the voltage or current limits the display shows you what your setting is instead of what the current output is.And editing voltage and current settings are all digital with selectable precision. The cheaper supplies with digital readouts but have analog knobs are just too easy to nudge into an over-voltage situation. I love being able to edit voltage and current limits 'live' without having to worry about blowing something up!Other cool features include memory functions (which I honestly don't use a whole lot), and a lock function which I use all the time when powering low-voltage loads to make absolutely certain that I don't accidentally blow the project up.The fan on the newer models is significantly quieter than the fan on the older models as well. Its a linear supply so the unit is quite hefty, but its a nice slim unit that has a good fit on my over-crowded workbench.-Matt

This is a professional grade linear power supply. I really appreciate the fact that it can be controlled from a Windows App. Definitely worth every penny.

This product works well. I was not expecting much for such a cheap power supply. Hooked my DMM up to it and the output was within a 0.1V of what the power supply was saying. Only problem is the fan is fairly loud and it sounds like there is something rubbing so I keep wondering if its going to fail! Hasn't yet though. Works well for cheap hobby power supply.

I just received and evaluated this PS. The meter and output are all within spec. It takes a few minutes to get use to the operation. It took a bit of time to figure out the constant current mode as it switches the output off automatically. The computer control uses a run time version of LabView and works very well. Setting the PS using the I/F is very precise. My application requires stepping 0 to 60 in 5v steps and the computer will make this a joy. The fan operational speed is set by the power being pulled. I recommend this product...

It has stopped working 4 times now but this time i cldnt make it work. It switches on but usually the digital panel fluctuates in its readings and now it dsnt. So i am disappointed. I even ordered a new one. What do i do with this unit? Pls advise asap

Excellent power supply while it works. This was my second one. The first lasted a few months the second only a few days and I have no way to return it.

I don't like noisy fan.I do like the front panel design and the fact that voltages and currents can be "locked in". Unfortunately the fan sound drove me nuts. Power cord seems short.I purchased a similar unit that had a large external heatsink with no fan. The controls were not as nice, but silence is golden.
