An excellent mouse for travel
I took delivery of two of these for use on two Kindle Fire 10 (2021 version) tablets. Somewhat of a gamble because many users buying blue tooth mice for use with Kindle tablets report various issues pairing or getting consistent performance. So, I can report this mouse works perfectly on the Kindle Fire 10. Pairing was a breeze. Simply activated the battery on the mouse, made sure it was turned on, opened the Bluetooth settings on the Kindle, searched for devices.Within a few sceonds the Kindle found the mouse, clicked on pair, and the mouse was active.I also use the Amazon bluetooth keyboard for the Kindle and have experienced no conflicts what so ever. I really like the physical size and shape of this mouse. It has a slim profile which makes it much less bulky than a regular mouse to pack in a carrying bag. It is also very comfortable on the hand to use and exhibits excellent reponse. As a side note, some buyers have lamented a lack of a power switch to turn the mouse off when not used. To the contrary it has a very small round depressable power switch on the underside of the mouse with a faint but still visible bluetooth symbol. Push this button and the mouse will turn on and off.Final thought, this a 5 star product all the way. If you can buy it on sale (I got mine at 50% off suggested retail) it would be a great deal.

A simple Bluetooth mouse with stepping scrolling wheel - just what I wanted
I was very skeptical at first regarding this mouse as I read in one of the reviews here that it does not have an ON / OFF switch, which can lead to quick draining of the batteries. But I was glad to find that the single button with the Bluetooth symbol at the bottom of the mouse actually IS an ON / OFF switch. :) It's very misleading when you're only familiar with moveable switches of other brands and consider any clickable button with a Bluetooth symbol as pairing button.Anyway, this mouse is very minimalist, simple and it works just fine. The main thing I really like about this mouse is that its scrolling wheel is a stepping wheel - meaning that you can feel the steps while you scroll. Some people don't like it and prefer "butter" smooth scrolling wheels, but I find those wheels inaccurate when you do precious work. So stepping wheel for me is a big plus.Just like the Surface Pen, this mouse runs on batteries. And I prefer it better over built-in Lithium batteries that need to be recharged every now and then, making you need to carry a charging cable with you all the time. In this case, when you're starting to feel lags during use you just go to the grocery store and buy a pair of batteries and you're good for the next couple of months. Now it terms of the color - I read in some places that just like me, others are spending a lot of time thinking what color to pick; let it be the Type Cover keyboard, The Pen or the mouse. I too spent a lot of time thinking about this, and eventually decided to go with the black one, and the reason was because I went with the black Type Cover keyboard, which also led me to pick a black Surface Pen. But in the bottom line it's just a color and it doesn't affect anything but your brain. ;) You can have the Surface accessories all in the same color, or a combination of them all. It's really a matter of taste.

Highly recommend this mouse!
I got this as an upgrade for my wife to replace her usual $10 mouse. She was hesitant at first, but I couldn’t let her keep struggling with the old one. To our surprise, she instantly loved it! You can feel the high quality as soon as you pick it up-it just feels solid and well-made. The best part is how effortlessly it connects - just one click the first time, and Windows pairs it right away. Super easy setup. Highly recommend this mouse!

Not ergonomic
Update after a few months of use:This is an ambidextrous mouse with no frills like a back button or additional buttons over a standard wired mouse. It is not very ergonomic but with time you can learn how to hold it differently so the hard edges don't hurt your hands so much. But what I like about his mouse is that it is much more responsive with less lag than the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse that I used to use. It appears to move smoother and with more responsiveness as well. To me, once I mostly got over the ergonomic issues, I appreciate the near-wired responsiveness that this mouse has. Adding one star to bring it up to 4. I would assume lefties would like this mouse over mice designed only for right handers. Still would not use this mouse for daily use if you're a righty, but it can be accommodated to. It's a travel mouse and not a daily use mouse.Original review:This mouse looks cool and matches the Surface Pro line. But I usually use Microsoft mice that are ergonomic and right-hand oriented. Microsoft generally makes the best mice in my opinion. Better than Logitech. This mouse is a very portable mouse but is more for aesthetic use. It has some very hard edges that will hurt your fingers after hours of use. My thumb hurts holding it at it's sharp corner edge. My index finger hurts clicking the left mouse button because of the angle. My index finger hurts from scrolling the wheel since the wheel has a sharp hard 90 edge that cuts into my index finger. I can alleviate that by using my middle finger but I shouldn't have to. For right handers I much prefer the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Bluetooth Mouse. Microsoft always made the best mice and much more ergonomic than Logitech, but this unfortunately was designed around appearance vs usability. If you are doing a presentation for people, bring this mouse. Use the less expensive Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Bluetooth Mouse for all other purposes. This advice applies only to right handed people. I'm not left handed so perhaps left handed people have adapted to using mice not ergonomic to their hands.
