There are a bunch of these on the market right now. So, I ended up prioritizing the features I wanted and the choices got narrowed down pretty fast to this one. They pretty much all have a removable shutter release, so that's there. I wanted the fill light, which I haven't used much, given how well my phone does in low light, but it's nice having it anyway. I wanted a blue tooth connection, not a special app. Most of these do it that way now I see--works like a charm on this unit. One biggy for me: I wanted to be able to zoom from the grip and I believe this may be the only one that does that. It's NOT a smooth zoom, it jumps in increments, so not good for zooming while shooting video but it's very convenient for composing your shots without taking your hand off the grip. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality of the build--more solid than I expected. I've found I'm often just leaving it on the phone--it fits perfectly with the phone still in its case and doesn't interfere with anything--in fact, I like having this sturdy grip even when I'm just browsing the web or taking a call. All in all, especially at this price point, it's a great value!

Its nice and the light helps plus the grip is good. Too bad I didnt read carefully that the zoom doesn’t work with Iphones

Ok this thing is a game changer making your phone an easy to handle and become and feel like a real camera. The grips are useful although quite small, I wish it was bigger and more ergonomic. The LED fill light is absolutely useful especially when you are taking videos. Not harsh lighting but soft and bright with adjustable brightness levels.Also the addition of a cold shoe mount is a great feature to add in your mic or additional lighting. Also, a really great feature is the 1/4-inch screw hole at the bottom so it can be mounted on a tripod or selfie stick especially useful when taking selfies.One more thing, the shutter button is removable, so just like a remote, you can use it as a remote shutter button for when you're away from your phone or when its mounted in a tripod.Trust me, you'll love this thing.

This is pretty cool if you take a lot of pics. My wife likes it but it is bulky to carry around when not using it. It would fit in a purse but will take up room. It's way to use and works like a charm. No issues at all in operating it.
