This definitely saves a lot of space. There are approximately 12 bags but only 6 plastic bits to close the bag. There is a pump. It takes a lot of effort and pumping to vacuum all the air out. It is so much easier to use a hoover to suck the air out. Sadly I do not own a hoover and this manual style vacuum is good for when packing for holidays and arranging suitcase space. Good value but it is very hard to get all the air out with this manual pump. They should also provide 12 pastic bits instead of 6. Good value and not a bad product at all. For those who have access to a hoover, then the other types that suck air out with a hoover is better imo.

Bags split open every time I remove air. Had to abandon project and seek new bags

Manual pump not easy if you use for big blanket or pillow. Big cloths better buy electric pump.

I wanted to add more things to my Amazon "basket" but could not do so, and wasted a couple of hours trying. Cannot blame this vendor for that. Amazon is losing sales doing it this way.The product itself appears adequate, the aspects which concerned me were1. that the sample I had, which caused me to purchase more bags, had a ribbed strengthened outer surface, which I expect will resist abrasion better that the smooth surfaced thinner bags which arrived. Time (and wear) will tell.2. the kit also included a pump, or reverse pump / air extractor. Someone should issue a public warning about the number of strokes you need to empty a (large size, I admit) bag of air and shrink the contents. Its very good exercise!. Eventually I commissioned a vacuum cleaner, which sorted the problem immediately. But I want to use these while camping. Is a high capacity extractor possible?

These bags are wonderful! They are less expensive than “Space Bags” and in my opinion, work just as well! I have just placed a second order to keep them on hand!

I have used the product for vaccum bags ,but wanted in small ,and this one was available,so went for itBut quality of plasyas well as ziplineAnd product doesn't even match the picture

the small bag is good for storing my toddlers clothes per not as much bag space is needed. The hand pump works, its not as fast as the vacuum hose but still pretty good. zipper could use color combo like with freezer bags so one side is blue and the other would be yellow when a good seal is made it turns green. Don't store where bag can get a puncture, one bag fell down from my storage spot and my dogs nails punctured it

After seeing how much more effective these are than the squeezable ones that don't have a pump, I recommended them to everyone in my travel group, and the consensus is to never again travel without them.
