I am a small size and order these shorts molders in the same size as I am, but I would have ordered it in a size smaller than an extra small to fit me on my abdomen. It is comfortable, but I it does not reduce much.

I’m 5’5” and 125 lbs. I ordered the size small. It wasnt small enough to take in my mom pooch. It smoothed me out a little but did not cinch in my waist anything, not even half an inch. I do like that it ends in shorts style rather than the thong style. The honing at the top helps it not roll but it does make bending at the waist while sitting a bit awkward as it bends out.
