Easy to use and I liked that I could cut it to whatever length and width desired. Did not irritate surrounding skin.

This is my 2nd time buying this. I tried to get a cheaper tape but it peeled off and was itchy so I came back to this one for my reduction and lift scars. It stays on and I really liked it. Not itchy or bothersome at all. I am going to continue buying this one. As for if it works - hard to say because I had a delay and had to use if after radiation. Wish I would have used earlier after surgery was completed. My friend’s mom used this particular product soon after surgery and had a good outcome.

I had been using just a scar gel by itself but it wasn't producing any more results after 3 months of usage so I started using this (and applying some scar gel under it before bed) and I've seen a noticeable further reduction in the appearance of a scar I'm treating. It really, really helps to keep it on and covered 23.5 hours a day. I've been re-using the pieces I've cut and they definitely last the advertised 5 days of reuse, possibly a bit longer.If you have a scar definitely get this, adding scar gel to this would likely increase the effectiveness but I'd prefer this product over the gel if I had to choose just one.

Jan 31 UPDATE.THIS PRODUCT IS USELESS.I have tried this o two different scars in two different body parts. Even afer careful application, it failed to remain adhered. Don't waste your money!!!Just received my package so no review on use ir effectiveness yet. Big disappointment in product description. The description says Country of Origin: USAThe box says Made in CHINA.I specifically purchased this brand, even though it cost a bit more than some of the others, because it said it was from the States. Deceptive advertising/description.

Speeds healing, very easy to use

Does not adhere well. This was a better price point, but not effective since it constantly rolls up.

I had some old surgical scars along one side of my chest from 4yrs ago. Most are hypertrophic, all are at least red. I have surgical scars down the other side of my chest and on my neck from a year ago. I started using the tape on all of them at the same time.The tape sticks pretty well if you use a large enough piece. However, it will not stick as well in areas of skin the move it many directions like near the breast/armpit because it will become wrinkled easily. In areas like this, it's better to use a large piece of tape. But for example on the center of the chest, it gives a good seal. I exercise (sweat and shower) daily. If I take the tape off and stick them back on, it won't stick very well. If I wash them, it also won't last long. However, I can just leave these on without touching them a few days. But around 5-7 days, it really isn't sticking well anymore and needs to be changed. I had one time were I got a rash, maybe from sweat under the tape but it was only one time.So after a year, I saw no difference in the 4 yr old scars. That tracks with clinical trials with silicone tape. With the new scars, they look about the same, not quite as bad as my old scars. My neck scar is nearly invisible.So I have a feeling that scars just heal differently for different people in different areas of the body. The tape probably makes very little difference. Who knows, maybe it would have gotten alot worse if I didn't use it.A few months ago, I accidentally picked up something hot and burned my finger tips. I found this tape worked well for wrapping up my finger tips vs using a bandaid. So the tape can be useful for just covering.Still, other than some annoyance, it doesn't really hurt to try it. It likely won't make much of a difference. The location of your scar and how your body reacts to it probably is a much bigger driver as to how the scar will look.
