Yes. These mats will work with Silhouette Cameo machines. Silhouette machines will accept a variety of mats- they don't require special coding on the mat like Scan n Cut does. However- you have to be mindful that these mats are thicker than the Silhouette brand, so you have slightly less clearance for leather, acrylic, and other thick materials. You will also have to adjust your blade [depth] settings.

Q: How do I prevent the adhesive from coming off on the backs of the paper? It is leaving residue.

Yes, I've also noticed that using these mats leaves adhesive residue on the paper, especially the first several times the matt is used. This is seldom a problem because I am usually adding glue to that side. There is less residue over time, so there is the option of setting aside a well broken in mat, or using one of the blue mats that is less tacky from the start.
