Can't live without th is now.
I really love this, it's made cross stitching so much easier now. I set it on a table to use it rather than under my leg. Good quality, highly recommend for anyone who does embroidery or cross stitch.

Good price for a beginner
At the price it does the trick so I'll keep it. It's my first embroidery stand and I was nervous about spending too much.1. The part that secures the hoop is made of plastic.2. If your hoop is 5/8 of an inch (1 1/2cm) it won't fit.I haven't had time to actually use it. If I find problems I'll update this review.

Great to hold 10” hoop for embroidery
A great stand, especially for the price. It’s well made too. I’m using it to hold a10” hoop and it’s great.

Great stand and customer service
Great stand - had issue with assembly but I was doing it wrong. Great customer service to help me figure out the correct way to assemble.

I wanted to love the 190-1, but ended up returning it for the 190-14 (listed as 190-2)
My husband called it "a foot." I love how (relatively) small it is.Unfortunately, at least with the hoop I first tried it with, there is no way to securely fix the hoop to the holder. The wooden screw that comes down to pin the hoop just doesn't have enough holding area. Since nearly all of the other Nurge stands have the same holding mechanism, I'm guessing it's just incompatible with the small hoop I was using, so YMMV.I ended up replacing this with the 190-14 (which, at the time of this review, is in the same listing, but the option labeled as "190-2," for some reason. The 190-2 is actually a floor stand version of the 190-1). The hoop holding mechanism on that one like two boards that come together as a clamp, and it's much more secure. I am also now spoiled by the 190-14's ability to flip over to show the back of the work, so I can bury my ends.

Great stand
I was looking for a stand to help with hand fatigue. This stand is really nice and works well. I would have given 5 stars, however, I have a thicker Nurge wooden hoop that will not fit in the clamp which was disappointing. I thought a Nurge stand wood accept all the hoops they manufacture. A nice stand for the price.
