Quality, Crafted Well, Beautiful
First off, I have four of these Godox DP600III-V strobes in my studio and I have found them to work wonderfully. I have been using Godox products for one year now and I think the Godox products are top notch. I have had no issues whatsoever with strobes or any of the many soft boxes I have purchased by Godox. These studio strobes have a flash duration that is fast enough to freeze motion up to 1/2000th of a second. If you need the flash duration to be faster, then you need to check into the QT line for an incredible flash duration. The Godox DP600III-V has the new 30-watt modeling light too. It hardly produces any heat. The incandescent bulbs are super-hot and will actually heat the studio because they are so hot. I recommend the Godox DP600III-V to anyone new or even a pro photographer. I hope you enjoy them as much as I am.

Another good Godox product - triggers reliably, good color balance
I have a collection of Godox flashes and continuous lights in my small home studio. I was lacking a higher power flash unit so I took a chance on this upgraded 400W flash with modeling light. The modeling light is an upgrade which I'm finding to be very useful -- I no longer have to keep another continuous light running to keep some illumination in the studio.I already had a large 48" softbox and a c-stand, and that's where this flash is going to stay. It runs off of AC and the softbox I'm using is large and heavy, so there's no pretense of portability. This flash uses a Bowens mount which is compatible with the rest of my modifiers. It has a large handle on the back of the unit which helps wrangle the lighting. It's not super heavy in itself, but once you use a large modifier and mount it on a large stand, it all gets unwieldy and I appreciate any help I can get in leveraging everything. There is quite a bit of plastic on this unit, but it seems up to the task -- and the important bits like mounting sockets have a good solid metal insert to them so they will be durable. It seems like care was taken to use plastic where possible but use metal where needed. This differentiates this product from their fully professional line, which is considerably more expensive. The value in this product strikes the perfect balance for my uses. The strobe has an internal fan that runs quietly. It warns about minding thermal issues with heavy usage but I found it to run quite cool (had the modeling light set to auto). No worries about overheating with the modifier, at least at the more conservative settings I was using in my small studio.I have a Godox transmitter on my camera and I find this strobe to trigger reliably and consistently. It was easy to set up the group and channel, although I had to dive into the manual to figure out what combination of controls to use (long press, short press ... etc.). The modeling light is simply controlled by a dedicated button, and can be set to be "off", "prop" or proportional (level chosen by the light based on your strobe power setting), or set directly via a percentage range. The strobe controls were conventional and as expected. The strobe offers a wide range of power output and I found the color balance to be a good true neutral daylight value. The color balance is not adjustable, but this particular package included some colored modifiers which were really just little shower caps of colored fabric. Not sure how well those work -- I didn't try them as I don't tend to work with colorized lighting. The cord is heavy duty and fortunately quite long -- I didn't have a problem making it reach to my nearest outlet. For my purposes, I've been very happy with my other Godox products and this one is no exception. I'm glad to have a higher power strobe to use and probably won't need anything better. Recommended!

Make sure to buy a flash trigger
Works great, takes great photos, my camera didn't have a built in wireless flash trigger so I had to purchase one but I'm loving the results of the studio light
