Works great as an alternative use to a plant drip pan.
I’m using this as a liner in my platform bird feeder. The mesh lining on these feeders always peels off over time. Then the exposed metal rusts and is impossible to clean. This pan happened to fit perfectly inside the frame. I can remove it and hose it out daily and/or clean it with soap and water. The molded plastic has no corner or seam cracks and crevices that catch and lodges seed. It DOES show how nasty birds and squirrels can be, though (thank you Mother Nature), thus reiterating the need for regular cleaning. The only so-called down side is that rain water obviously doesn’t run through it. But I anticipated this and, after using it as planned for a while, accept this as an acceptable trade off. The plus…the collected water ends up like a presoak. The minus, be careful lifting it out when it’s full of dirty water.
