I have only had a two person slow cooker before, as I live alone, but I decided to get a bigger one to do more batch cooking. I chose this particular Russell Hobbs slow cooker because it is a well respected brand, and does not have a huge footprint on my worktop. I also wanted a keep warm function which this has. I am delighted with it. It came down in price as well (£25.99) a bargain. I use my slow cooker most days. You cannot beat the tenderness from any meat you cook in a slow cooker. I also do vegetable and lentil soups, casseroles and stew and dumplings. You just put everything in and you can just turn it on high for two hours or you can put it on low for eight hours. It is great if you come home after a hard day at work, or a day out, to a hot meal ready and waiting. I mainly do savoury things, but you can do sweet things like rice pudding etc. If you would like to do a full chicken or a big joint of meat, I would suggest an oval shaped slow cooker, which this isn't, as it is tall and deep rather than wide.

The product its ok, but it was delivered in no outside box, only in the box it originally comes in. This is a Christmas present, and may have been seen.

Best slow cooker I have had. Not too big in size takes less room on the worktop than all others. Cooks well economic and easy clean.

As a recently single man, I was surprised at how expensive it is to cook for ONE person. Then cost of living and rising inflation hit, and my wallet cried out in fear. This wonderful piece of equipment has reduced my food bills drastically. I made a great lamb curry last week, 5 good portions, boxed, refridgerated and consumed. Downside, you do eat the same meal 4 or 5 days on the bounce. Plus side, quick, easy, simple and cost saving. Currently have a chilli simmering away in this, will leave overnight on low setting, by morning will have been cooking for 12 hours. Honestly, the meat will melt in my mouth. Best buy this year for money saving.

Lovely size for smaller families, the chalk board is a novel idea but I don't use it.
