Mepiform with Safetac Technology 4"x7", 5 Count, Self Adherent Soft Silicone Sheeting for Scar Reduction

I used Mepiform over my, already healed, keloid scar that had been there for years. The scar had redness and stuck out significantly in areas. I have been embarrassed about it for so long. I put a strip of Mepiform on and was nervous so, only half a week later, I removed the tape. Actually my daughter took it off for me. My one daughter said that it looked better. The rest of my family was in shock. My one daughter was freaked and asked if it was legal and asked " Is it safe?" I hadn't seen it until after them. I have to tell you, I was quite surprised that such a simple thing could make it so much better. The redness was reduced and the scar was much better, smoother, and sticking up way less.It's like a miracle. I would recommend that you try this. I have sensitive skin and had no reaction. Anyone who has a scar that looks bad, a painful keloid scar, redness in a scar, bumpy or unusual textured scar, You need this!I applied it to a huge scar that was from multiple surgeries on my arm, broken in 3 places. That is the main reason I purchased it. The arm surgeon had claimed that it would not keloid. He was wrong. From the top of my arm/shoulder to almost my elbow is a mammoth scar. In my arm is a metal plate. Plus the stitches made me 26 small keloid baby scars down the edges. All painful and getting no better with time. Over a year later I was having physical therapy and my therapist had a strip on her arm. I asked what it was. She said that her Dr. told her to wear it to prevent bad scarring.I have suffered so long with a growing scar and complaining to my Dr. every visit. He never once mentioned it. Never said anything about anything but plastic surgery. The plastic surgeon said that he couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't grow back. I hated my arm. I would cry about it. Let me tell you I am not the kind of person who writes reviews all the time, but I had to do it with this product. This is awesome. I am using it for my C-section since the birth of my baby and I noticed my scar improving in appearance almost the color of my skin and a fine line so you won't even notice I have an scar. So pleased with this product. Water proof also, which is wonderful. I was 5 days vacationing on the beach and it was in place. Something good is the color is kind of skin color. So mom's out there, try it if you are not happy with your C-section scar, you won't regret it. It's a little expensive, but for me was high expensive all creams I've tried before this.

This was recommended by a friend and also a couple of plastic surgeon friends I had a couple biopsies for skin cancer and I’ve been wearing this for about 4 months to reduce the color of the scar. I was told to wear it for 12 months, and this is definitely enough to last a year. I was shocked at how large and how many mepiform sheets were in the container. They stay on for about 5-7 days (for reference I work out every day amd get sweaty, and shower twice a day). It seems expensive, but if you have a small scar, it’s a great bang for your buck.

This product worked very well on a scar revision on my arm. The adhesive is very sticky and is truly usable for a couple weeks without fail even after reapplying multiple times. The ScarAway brand I first tried didn't last more than a couple days before the adhesive would not stick any more. This one is a bit more expensive but it is worth it. I actually cut these large sheets into strips and was able to use them for quite some time. I didn't experience any issues with bubbles. The package was not sealed, but the cardboard box was closed and there was the right count inside.

I've been using it it's been one month and 11 days. I had a ski accident and the right side of my face, close to my jaw fell on my ski pole while descending a head wall. A severe evulsion took place and for you to have an idea, my ski pole bended totally.After a week, when the wound was healed I started using Mepiform. I would clean the affected area with twice a day and apply the bandage. I like this size because I was able to cut the size I wanted.As I have the bandage placed close to my mouth (which I move to talk and eat) and as I use face creams, bandage wouldn't last glued to my face long. So I started using one new square in the morning and another new one at night. If you place it on a very clean skin it lasts longer because it sticks better.Also the color (beige) gets lost in your skin color and protects the scar from the sun.It's worth it. All one can see now is a small flat scar line. Yes, it's pricey, I know, but was worth every penny!
