Good Product & Great Value
I resell clothing & I purchased this steamer because my hand held steamer was just not doing the job anymore. This one is a great price & gets the job done in half the time my hand held steamer was doing. It does spit out some water when it is first warming up, so be cautious of that. I also only use RO water to prevent rusting. I highly recommend this product if you have a lot of clothes to steam fast.

Excellent choice
I always wanted to buy this type of steamer but being "trained" on the regular iron and board I was hesitant. I found out however that this is so delightful to use and for many clothes it's so much easier and better, especially curtains, shirts, dresses etc. It definitely has a learning curve like most things. You iron differently with this appliance for sure, but that's not entirely a bad thing. I don't know if people press sheets and other hard to iron items like sheets but there's more to learn and try out. I am very happy with the purchase

Not a paid review
I have ordered this steamer after trying one of the best seller hand-held, this did a much better job with various fabrics ( see photos for example)Pros: 1. Lighter weight to be held by hand for long time.2. Very good result on cotton-blend/ linen3. Easy operationCons:1. be careful that you might burn your fingers, better use a heat-resistant gloves.2. Consumes large amount of distilled water, like 1 gallon every single use for 10 outfits3. Once you ran out of water the machine did not turned off, but at the same time, not hot enough to be used as regular iron

Powerful Large Capacity Steamer with some Flaws
I’ve had this steamer for close to a year and don’t regret the purchase. I used to have a handheld steamer that needed to be refilled after every 2 or 3 garments, so this was a much welcome change. The reservoir for the water is big and it translates to how long the steam runs and the large amount of clothes it can steam before needing to be refilled. I can go weeks without refilling with low usage. I have had to refill it when I tried to steam my whole closet in one sitting, but that was dozens and dozens of pieces so it’s understandable. The pink is such a cute color and it takes up very little space. It has the option to customize the length of the pole. I extend it all the way so I can hang clothes on the hooks without it dragging on the ground. When it’s shortened the whole way, it makes it travel friendly and you can remove the pole part entirely to make it more compact. The hose is sturdy and hard to bend (which you can see when the pole is down). It also gets hot when in use since that’s where the steam travels through. Not enough to burn, but enough to be wary of touching it. Definitely keep children away so they don’t get hurt.I’ve only noted 2 downsides:1. Stream of steam is interrupted every few minutes. I’m assuming this is to allow the water to be heated more so more steam can be created. This can get annoying if you’re in a rush or tired. I find myself waiting 30 or so seconds or up to a minute with no steam coming out while the water boils. Which is noisy by the way. I don’t mind since I don’t need to be quiet but something to be aware of.2. Sometimes so much steam comes out that it’s basically a trickle of water on your clothes. So you end up with wet stains on your clothes. And if you’re not careful, the hot water will splash on you. This does burn! It’s only a few drops but man does it hurt. I’m careful of where I hold the head when I notice my clothes getting a bit wet. I also fling the head away from me to get any excess water out. Or run it hole-down over some cloth to wipe it dry. As long as you’re careful, this won’t be a downside. But it’s dangerous so again, no kids nearby to be safe.I mention these downsides since I know they can be dealbreakers for some. I can make do despite the downsides in exchange for the price point and large water reservoir, which is why I don’t regret the purchase. Plus it works! It does steam wrinkles out.Of course, the steam is hot and will burn you through your clothes so be mindful of your hands and always keep the steam pointed away from you. This is true with all steamers so it’s not a ‘downside’ for me. But I have caught myself slacking and ‘touching’ the steam without meaning to.I currently use regular tap water so that might be related to my issues, but I don’t remember much of a difference when I did use distilled water when I first bought this. But if I let the water sit for too long it will get a humid smell so I make sure to clean the reservoir regularly and switch out the water if I haven't used it for a bit.Overall, I would recommend. Please like if you found this review helpful ☺️

it is ok.....
I have been using this steamer for a while....is ok, it works particularly well with very thin materials like silk, does not do a good job with cotton. there are a few things i don't like. First, when you are passing the steamer on clothes you lose the steam very rapidly when you lower the hose. the hose sometimes unscrew itself with the movement, and finally the water tank ...even if you empty it, water stays inside the device and it rottens and smells bad. I don't love it, I don't think is the worst , it does work better than the handheld versions

Never iron again
I really hadn't used a steamer until recently. A friend had one in her closet and I gave it a try. Easy to use; inexpensive.; doesn't take much space; and it works very well.

Lots of steam
Purchased this for my husband. He is very excited about the amount of steam it puts out which makes it faster to remove wrinkles. It also has a built in hanger for shirts and blouses . It is sturdy and can be moved around with ease. We’ve purchased 2 but this is the best purchase so if you’re thinking about which steamer to choose from try this one.

Malfunctioned during the first ½ of tank of water
SALAV® GS18-DJ Standing Garment SteamerPros: Full continuous steam, fast, small footprint, and lightweight.Cons: Malfunctioned during the first ½ of tank of water. The steamer worked well during the first ½ tank of water which was approximately five noncontiguous days of usage. At ½ water level the steamer stopped steaming, I topped off the water level and I could hear the heating element working but the steamer never produced a full level of steam that was easily visible. I had to keep putting my hand on the wand to see if steam was coming out.I’m very familiar with usage and maintenance of a garment steamer, my last steamer from a different company lasted six years without issue. I often decaled my previous steamer which was the key to keeping it in great working condition but after six years it gave out.I’m sure this was just an isolated incident because the steamer worked great before the malfunction. Unfortunately, I must go through the inconvenience of a return and start my research on steamers again. I like to try new companies but, in this case, it may be best to go back to my previous brand.
