These cars and remote use a total of 5 batteries per car. This toddler remote control car has power so it is worth the 5 batteries. These cars have cute little people and they move fast. The toy limits cars to forward, reverse and left turn. This gives the car more control for a toddler. The cars are great on flooring but don’t work on carpet. My grandson loved them and so did our family. We had a lot of FUN playing with these cars. I was able to get this car in time for the holiday. If you are looking for a fun toy for your toddler 18 months and up I would recommend this toy.The first cars I received had a bad controller so the batteries did not work.

My boys love playing with their remote control cars. I have two 2- years old boys and it's perfect for them. First of all I'm glad it came two for ppl who have twin like me.I wish it came in another color like red, blue or green but either way they love it. Also one of the remotes stopped working, but the other one is still working. I also love the fact that it reverse turn instead of just simply reversing.I love this toy for my boys. Great for their age. Its ok value for the money (just wished the other remote didnt stop working so quickly) it should be a little more durable

As a big child myself, and as the father of two little boys, I want to of course have the large monster truck R/C vehicle that goes 30mph and can jump off cliffs or turn into an airplane by the push of a button. This is NOT that kind of toy. With that said, this IS an excellent toy for children who want to learn finger dexterity, problem solve from the limited control options (move forward straight or back up while turning one direction only), and not bang up the trim throughout your house too significantly (unlike matchbox metal cars that are raced or accidentally thrown). It's made for younger children, as once they get to 6 or 7, they will probably want something bigger and faster with more control options. It's definitely durable, not too noisy, and a good gift for most children under 6. There have been no issues with shipping or the functionality of the product since we received it, and the remotes run on limited battery power, as we are using AA's that were pretty much exhausted by glow track cars, and the remotes are still working.Anyway, if you're thinking about buying this for your young children, it is a great gift... If you are a dad who wants an awesome R/C car that can keep you entertained more than your children, then I wouldn't recommend it.Hope that helps a few of you, and wish you all the best with your kiddos! Prextex Remote Control Cars are a great gift for any toddler aged 2 to 3+, giving them plenty of fun for hours on end. I purchased the two-pack for my three year old and he loves playing with them. The cars come in vibrant colors and have a cool police car design and race car design, making them extra attractive to little ones.The operation is easy to understand and follow so I didn’t have any trouble assembling the parts correctly before handing it over. My toddler especially loves the police car since it looks like something he would see on TV. He can maneuver both cars back and forth, but unfortunately neither of them turn right or left, which would have been a great addition.The batteries last quite some time under continual use, easily keeping kids entertained without having to worry about their toys running out of power mid-game (or mid-chase!). While there are limitations as to how far the cars can travel, my son has managed to steer both cars from one end of our living room floor all the way across! Although at times they don’t proceed exactly as instructed and take an unexpected turn which can add laughter to the adventure.Overall these remote control cars are perfect for toddlers ages 2-3+. The bright colors and designs make them extra appealing and their ease of operation means no worries when setting up. Not to mention they last long enough that your kids will be able to keep playing longer without interruption so you can get back those important tasks you need done! However if you had hoped your child or grandchild could drive around making turns like in real life then this might not be what you're looking for. For that reason I'm only giving Prextex Remote Control Cars 3 stars as I feel they could have been much better than just going front to back.
