Nice Quality
My youngest wanted to try a recorder. I didn't realize they were made in anything but plastic material! The wood is beautiful and the sound is nicer than from a plastic one.

Could be better
Mouth piece is hard putting on and off. Had to sand the cork some to make it work better

Nice and simple
I bought this to replace an old wooden one I had for many years. It’s not quite as good sound wise, but great for anyone wanting to learn, kids or adults.

Made of plastic, not wood
Although the description of the product lauds its rich sound, this is just a plastic recorder with a hard-to-control sound. I wish I'd purchased a different recorder.

Instructions useless but good sound for price. Well made.
Well made; wood sounds better, fuller, than plastic. Instructions are too confusing, but the price/ quality make it worthwhile.

Beautiful Tone
It was so nice to find a solid wooden recorder I chose the Baroque Recorder for my granddaughter who is learning to play at school. The finger placement is perfect for an adult or a child and it has a lovely tone when played.

The recorder itself is good value
Arrived well packed as is usually the case with Amazon. The recorder has a nice tone and the wood a lovely silky feel. Excellent quality for the price. It’s the rest that lets it down.It came without the joint grease . I thought briefly about sending it back, then realised I had played my wooden recorder in school for a number of years without ever taking it apart, so didn’t need joint grease for a £20 recorder. In my opinion, the box is a gimmick. A simple bag to hold the recorder in one piece would be perfectly adequate for an instrument in this price range. The plastic case is also not recycalable. We don’t need any more plastic cluttering up the environment. Especially when I’ve gone to the trouble of buying a wooden recorder.I’ve now played through the whole two octaves, having gradually played it in. The highest B and C need a bit more work to make them speak and I’ve yet to play the very highest note, a D, but I think that, over time they would become easier too.I only bought this as a stop gap as I haven’t played properly in 30+ years and I wanted to see how I got on before spending a lot of money. It’s definitely fit for the job.

Ideal well made recorder for a beginner establishing fundamentals.
Ideal instrument for a beginner. A maple wood baroque recorder is favoured as all subsequent wind instruments apparently use the baroque (English) finger pattern and not the German finger pattern.Otherwise it’s the equivalent of the 1966 England Team winning the World Cup, while wearing the German Team Strip! 😀

Beautiful recorder
I liked the fact that this is a wooden recorder, beautifully made with a lovely tone.My six-year-old granddaughter has just started recorder lessons at school and I wanted her to have a wooden one as I did at school (and still have one now, albeit not the same one).
