Q: Ive got 1 1/4" rails should i get these or the ones for 1-1/4?

Q: Would I be able to attach these to square rails on pontoon boat?

They have an arc to them. They may be a little off center but they should work dependent on what you are using them for. Mayne wood or poly shims?

Q: can you fight a fish in the holder or is it just for holding extra rods out of the way? My Montauk doesn't have ant gunnel holders for fighting fish.

I suppose you could they are very solid but trolling and big fish hit they might slip or bend the rail! I use them to just get rods out of the way !
