Fast, Versatile, and Tool-Free NVMe/SATA Enclosure
This Sabrent enclosure delivers outstanding performance and flexibility for the price. I’m using it with a 4TB NVMe SSD, and in CrystalDiskMark tests, it achieved sequential read/write speeds around 1,040 MB/s read and 1,017 MB/s write over USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps), which is exactly what I’d expect from a high-quality enclosure. The tool-free design is excellent. The installation took under a minute with no screws or extra tools. It's compatible with both PCIe NVMe and SATA M.2 drives, which adds a lot of future-proof value. One thing to note: it gets hot, especially during large file transfers or extended use. While heat is typical for NVMe drives in compact enclosures, it’s something to be aware of if you plan on using it for heavy workloads or long backups. I let it sit on a cool surface when transferring large files just to be safe. For sounds, with no moving parts, it is silent. There is no electrical noise or hum made.Overall, this is a great-performing, well-built, and easy-to-use enclosure at a very reasonable cost. Ideal for repurposing old SSDs, creating fast external drives, or cloning new systems. Highly recommended.

Disk Copy Savior!
My Alienware laptop had a pretty small SSD hard drive. Realizing that it had two slots available, I bought aCrucial P310 2TB SSD to install for more storage. Well, the joke was on me, because Dell split the 512 GB drive supposedly installed in the system into two 256 GB drives. Probably to save money. That meant I had no expansion slot.Enter the Sabrent USB 3.2 Type-C Tool-Free Enclosure for M.2 PCIe NVMe to the rescue. With it, I was able to connect the new SSD and use the EaseUS Disk Copy Pro utility to perform a sector-by-sector copy of the boot partition to the new SSD. The whole process, from unboxing to snapping the new drive into the laptop, took maybe 25 minutes. The laptop booted perfect on the new drive, and you'd never know anything was changed. The best part of all is that I still have a second SSD slot if I need even more storage someday.I almost didn't go with this model, as I had just the previous day requested to return a SABRENT Enclosure 3.5” Internal SATA Hard Drives (EC-KSL3), as it had been freezing up on me. But this Sabrent Enclosure for M.2 PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs (EC-SNVE) worked like a charm. Super easy to use, no problems at all, fast, cool, quiet. I would most definitely buy it again.

Great product
I bought this to help clone my new ssd with software on my laptop. It arrived in great condition and it was very well packaged. The enclosure was far exceeding what I had envisioned. The enclosure itself was made fully of metal and very sturdy. I found it easy to open by a button at the bottom but the ease of opening does not sacrifice the sealing and integrity of the unit. It fits the ssd absolutely perfectly with no struggle. It comes with a short usb-c to usb-c cable and connected extremely securely to my laptop. I actually needed to pull a little harder to unclick the lock from the usb-c port. My computer connected instantly with the ssd and the cloning process was an easy success.

Wonderful!
I am not sure what the magic is, but this thing runs nice and cool at all times. The SSK versions of this item run pretty warm, and a lot of the time, hot.Highly recommended! I will be getting more!Update: I took away one star because the cords in these all faulty. BEWARE... I wouldn't recommend using the cord that comes in this package. Spend 10 bucks for a good one. I have lost files because of errors while transferring and narrowed the problem down to these shoddy cables. They magically disconnect while you are transferring files, even if you don't touch the thing. I bought 2 Sabrent enclosures and a couple of SSD's to use as storage and had problems with them right away. At first I thought it was the new SSD card, then with trial and error, I found that the cords were the culprit. So If you don't want the hassle that I went through, buy a good CtoC cord and as far as the 'enclosure itself', I think it's top of the line (except for the cables that are in the package). I use this and it works fine.... (link from amazon) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C9MGJM78/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Well built, well-designed, great for cloning drives -- can get hot (that's by design!)
Simple little device that turns a stick of storage into an external drive. Ideal for use when cloning a drive -- I got it to clone my son's 512GB drive to a 2TB drive. The device is basically an enclosure and a giant heat sink, with a good sized silicon pad inside to get the heat off the flash chips and into the metal case. It's also well engineered and solidly built from (I assume) aluminum. During the transfer process, which involved 512GB of writes, the enclosure got quite warm -- about as hot as a charging laptop will get on the bottom -- but that's part of the design spec for these solid state drives, and this device is designed to radiate that heat, which is does. Overall a really flawless and easy to use experience. I doubt it gets as hot in normal use -- that was a special stress-test case.

Works great!
I installed a Kingston 512GB SSD on here. Just did a simple test with dropping a 15GB iso file on there twice and it copied at about 590 MB/s in less than 30 seconds.Installing the SSD was simple. The enclosure is pretty small. The USB cable is a lot little stiff but okay. It does get a little warm, but seems acceptable to me. Overall great buy for the price!
