My Last one lasted 3 years but I just bought a new one and tried it today 4/20/2025 Easter Sunday, and thank the Lord Jesus, my new remote works well. It works
The remote works (you have to be kinda close to the dvd player though), and all the buttons function. The remote requires two AA batteries that are not included.

Didn’t work for us
First, it requires AA, not AAA batteries as description says. Second, it comes with no set- up instructions. And, most importantly, we couldn’t get it to work with our Sony DVD player. I will be returning it.
