For productivity nothing is better
I purchased this monitor for productivity, and it is absolutely perfect. Seriously, if you work with a lot of windows open this is exactly what you need. The picture quality is clear and crisp, and the brightness is exceptional. No stuck or dead pixels. As a grad student I find this monitor has improved my productivity immensely.I don’t really game much, but tried out a few titles because, why not, this screen is enormous. This monitor is not ideal for gaming, with only a 60 Hz refresh rate but insane aspect ratio, so many games have trouble accommodating the resolution. I use a beefy Dell G7 laptop which I don’t think allows the USB C port to bypass the integrated GPU, so desktop users may have a different experience. That’s really the only con of the monitor though, and since i’m not using this for gaming it doesn’t matter to me. This thing is PERFECT for my uses. By the stand there are 3 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB A (for connected peripherals if u connect with HDMI), plus 2 additional USB ports off to the left, one of which can charge what’s plugged in while the display is off. That makes a total of 5 USB ports for peripherals. For connecting there is a USB C, Displayport, and 2 HDMI ports. I have all my peripherals (mouse keyboard, etc) connected to the monitor and it connects to my laptop via only one USB C cable! Really cool for when i need to grab the laptop and go. The USB C can also charge the laptop but it depends how many watts the charger is rated, at 240W mine is too large and I also have to plug in the laptop charger, which is understandable.Note that this monitor does not have an AUX port, which isn’t a big deal for me since I use a USB-connected audio interface. As far as using it, definitely use a window-snapping program like Dell Display Manager or Fancy Zones. DDM let’s you update the firmware but I prefer the interface of Fancy Zones. The screen is too big and wide for built in windows-snapping and these programs let you set custom areas (grids, columns, whatever) to snap windows to.Honestly it’s a dream to use. I have no problems with this monitor and it suits my needs exactly.Shipping was a little funky but these days that’s forgivable. It’s a gargantuan sized box and it wasn’t super late; I received it 5,6 days after ordering. Finally, this seller actually sends the Thor statue pictured! I was not expecting that but I love it and Thor stays on my desk now. 5/5 monitor

Better than Samsung 49inch
Samsung lacks quality, after a week use I've returned it due to random pixel and color loss (not to mention random black screens). Dell definitely has the quality side better than Samsung. I am a little disappointed at the fact that the mine did not come with the Thor statue, it was answered in Q&A that it came with. I am waiting for them to reply back to my message in the hopes that I will get one.

No complaints, beautiful work of art
I bought this monitor specifically for editing/producing purposes. Being able to see your entire timeline in one frame is a game changer, really gives you a sense of where everything is on the track or video. There are apps depending on your computer that divide up the screen to a grid that suits your needs. I went from three monitors to just this one, and although my office workflow (excel, DBMS, etc) feels a bit more cluttered, I have no major complaints.Do yourself a favor and get this monitor.

Monstrous!
This thing is so wide, I can actually see the curvature of the earth with it!But really, there's so much room it took me a while to figure out how to best utilize it. I'm still not sure I've got it figured out but I'm enjoying the process!

Great monitor for multi-application users, very impressive, practical, use quality cables.
I recently upgraded to the Dell UltraSharp 49" Curved Monitor U4919DW from three older 24" monitors, and it has completely transformed my workspace. The horizontal space is perfect for my multitasking needs, and it's a huge relief to have everything consolidated into one monitor.I did encounter some issues with setup, as I initially experienced flickering when using the supplied DP cable as well as with another 16K DP cable I had on hand. However, once I invested in the high-quality Silkland DisplayPort 2.1 Cable, the issue was resolved, and the monitor worked perfectly. This sensitivity with DP cables is something to keep in mind, but once you have a reliable one, the monitor works like a dream. I will say the monitor work well with the supplied HDMI cable and no had issues.Despite the age of the monitors technology (it’s really a 2019 technology), I am extremely pleased with the performance of this monitor. It does everything I need it to do and more, and it has been a game-changer for my productivity. The continuous screen is slick, and it has definitely helped clean up my desk area. Plus, with USB ports located in convenient locations, I never have to fumble around to plug something in.If I had one wish, it would be for a 2023 version of this monitor with faster refresh, but until then, I am happy to continue using the Dell UltraSharp 49" Curved Monitor U4919DW. Setting it up alone can be a bit of a challenge, but following the included directions will get you through it. It's not too heavy, but it can be a little ungainly to hold.I'm happy to add that while the refresh rate of the U4919DW is only 60hz, it works perfectly for my more static use applications. I don't play games, but from what I understand, while it would be suitable for gaming, there are better choices out there with higher refresh rates that provide even smoother gameplay. However, for my work and everyday use, the refresh rate is more than sufficient.Positives:• Provides a large horizontal space perfect for multitasking.• Consolidates multiple monitors into one, saving desk space.• High-quality continuous screen with no bezel interruption.• Good selection of ports, including conveniently located USB ports.• Sleek and practical design with a "wow" factor.• Suitable for non-gaming uses with a refresh rate of 60htz.• Good resolution at 5120 x 1440 @ 60 htz.Negatives:• Can be awkward to set up alone.• DP cable sensitivity may cause flickering issues with some cables.• Refresh rate of 60hz may not be sufficient for high end gamers looking for a super smooth experience.• The technology is a few years old and there isn't a 2023 version available yet.Overall, I highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a sleek, practical solution to their multitasking needs. The "wow" factor doesn't hurt, either!
