Pros-A couple months in these have been great for our two dogs (15 lb and 75 lb rescues). We have only used the audible tone and that does the trick, whether it's to reduce out of control barking, or keeping the little one from jumping on the back door.The controller had a nice clip so I can wear it on my pants (my hands are always full of my 2 month old, my 2 year old, or both).Just wearing the collars seems to help our boys remember their manners.Cons-I do struggle to remember which button to use on the controller (I'm always tempted to hit mode instead of the transmit one and keeping track of whether it's on "1 or 2" doesn't help/ having 4 buttons confused my scattered brain) but that's probably used shortcoming so I won't take a star for that.I also wish it was easier to charge. There is a rubber cover that is tiny and hard to maneuver out of the way for the charger entry point - could have been engineered better.Overall-If you have two dogs who need a little help kicking bad habits this is a great help.Ps) we haven't had any "misfire" issues but I do take them off at night and when we leave the house.

THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR DOGS! WE have had this for over a year, but have not used it very often., We bought it for our dog when chasing cars and barking. We recently put it back on her to stop the barking, and soon afterwards, noticed that it had burned her coat and pierced her skin! She has a thicker coat and it is white, but where her collar is, it is soot black! We have pictures of it. Trust me, I am one of those people who sees my pets as pets, and my kids as kids, and not pets as my kids; but I don't want to see my poor little dog burned. To advertise this as humane and safe for pets is just plain false advertising. A lawsuit should be filed against this company!

These collars are very cheaply made. When they arrived and I unboxed them, one of them had something moving around inside if it and rattling. Luckily, Hubby was able to fix that. The battery saving feature is a problem. When they get up from laying down, the collars are still in sleep mode. So then you can't get your dog to stop barking because it won't work. It takes​ A LOT of movement to get these collars to wake back up. There's no backlight on the remote, so if you get woke up by barking, you'll have to turn on a light to see what you're doing. You don't want to punish the wrong dog. I wouldn't recommend this item to anyone.

The collar is WAY too big so it slides around and the prongs don't stay in place. The few times that we got it to stay in place and actually used it, it sure got the dogs attention. We only had to zap him twice and after that we just used the vibration setting. We even stopped using that after only a few weeks, but just having the collar on seemed to help. He was calmer and didn't jump, but it came off and I can't seem to get it back on and stay on. He has gone back to his old ways, so I am going to have to find a way to get it to stay on. Hoping that just having it on him again will remind him, and we won't have to zap him.

I got these to keep my dog from nipping my smaller dog all the time. I put them on each dog so I can also use them for barking. I suggest you don't use them for more than one or two reasons because it would be too much for the dog to understand and it would be frustrated when the collar is put on. The remote could be better. It turns off so soon that each time I want to use it I have to turn it on and by then the dog has already nipped or barked. I want it available all the time so the minute I see my dog doing wrong I can correct it.Otherwise this is a very nice unit. It does a good job.

I have 3 dogs, a beagle, a terrier chihuahua mix, & a German Shepherd. I bought this for my beagle & German shepherd. Sadly after 3 months 1 of the collars already broke. There were also times the collars would not work. They were fully charged, but would not vibrate, shock, or beep. Then we would try again a few minutes later & it would work. It was kind of irritating when it wouldn't work because I think my dogs knew & that was when they would start howling. I did give it 2 stars because it did help calm my dogs, especially my beagle. If they would act up I would use the vibrate to warn them & if they did not listen to the warning, they would get a little shock. Thankfully the shock was enough so I wouldn't have to shock them too much.

Besides the price, not much else to highlight here. The battery life is non-existent, the shock and vibrate cuts out all the time and that's a problem when you have a 90lbs rescue only 1 year old that you're trying to train. the 2 minute no activity shut off is a pain as is not having any backlight to see what setting you're on. When it shuts off and you turn it back on it stays in the same mode. if you shut it off and turn it back on, then it goes to the next mode. sending this back and hoping the VASTAR with a button for each mode, back light and replaceable batteries works better.

I purchased this collar to help in the training of our very sweet but very rambunctious 140 pound Great Dane. She is an easy dog to train in many ways because she truly wants to please us but her energy level combined with her size pushed me to look for an additional way to correct some bad behavior. This is the second correction collar I have purchased through Amazon. The first was a different brand and it worked for a week or so and then stopped. They replaced it and the exact thing happened a second time. This collar by Vandesail has worked wonderfully. It has three levels of correction, a warning beep, a vibration and a shock. I have rarely had to use the shock feature because the vibration breaks her attention and the bad behavior stops immediately. She seems to know that the vibration is telling her that her behavior is unacceptable. I love the fact that this collar has a wide range of correction, from 0 to 100. When the vibration wasn't working as well, I turned up the level and that seemed to fix the problem. Another added bonus is the customer service from the seller has been excellent. I lost the charger and when I contacted the seller, they immediately responded and offered to send me another one at no charge. I highly recommend this correction collar and this seller.
