Oh yum!! Pesto heaven!
I make my own pesto when I have fresh basil available, but I like to have a "back up" just in case I can't make my own. This is the 4th "off the shelf" pesto I've tried, and it is by far the winner. It's just a good solid basic pesto: oil, basil, romano cheese, pine nuts, garlic, balsamic vinegar. Nothing fancy at all. But it has great flavor, and I absolutely LOVE the small jars. I'm single, and far too many choice condiments come only in larger jars/packages, so they end up going bad before I can manage to use them up. Not a problem here.I've used this so far as a simple pasta mix-in with sautéd shrimp. I've used it to make a super "pizza" (I use Indian naan bread, smear on some pesto, top with slices of fresh mozzarella, maybe sprinkle some chopped sundried tomatoes or good cherry or grape tomatoes cut in half -- into the oven until the cheese is melty and the edges brown). I've mixed it with cream cheese, shredded romano, and finely diced prosciutto to make a spread for crackers or slices of baguette. It just works! This now has a permanent place in my pantry -- super product, great taste, convenient. Solid 5 stars.

Better than the others
I was buying Alessi Pesto at a local supermarket, but they stopped carrying it. I haven't seen it at other local stores, so I ordered from Amazon. Meanwhile, I tried other brands, but none were as delicious as this one. It's a wonderful alternative to tomato sauce on pasta and can be used to spice up soups and stews. I'm done searching. This is the best as far as I'm concerned.

Perfect
All of the ingredients are what you would expect to find in a quality pesto: Basil, EVOO, Pecorino Romano, Pine nuts (pignoli), sea salt, garlic, white balsamic vinegar and some phosphoric acid to regulate the acidity. That is the only thing I find out of the ordinary, but there is no canola oil (who does that?) or other types of nuts & whatever other additives other companies put in their pesto.

Good quality for a lower price
Taste is good, but its a bit different. Less basil and more acidic. Uses a olive oil and pine nuts , so not as authentic a pesto but still has good flavor on garlic toast. Also, lasts only a while after opening, and jar size is very small.

Damaged
One of the jars had opened and leaked all over, soaking the box.

No flavor excdept salt
There was no basil flavor at all. You could taste some of the cheese and a lot of salt. It does seem to be real olive oil. If you use it, it will just be oily salt - no pesto flavor.

Small jars of not very tasty pesto
I bought this brand after an online search for "best jarred pesto" and several sites recommended it. Perhaps IDK what pesto is supposed to taste like because I found the flavor of this pesto to be unpleasant. One of the small (VERY small) jars was leaking when I received it, so I put that one directly in the fridge. Not too impressed with this purchase.

Best tasting Pesto.
This is my favorite Pesto. It’s hard to find Pesto made with pine nuts. So glad this was available on Amazon.
