Oh so disappointing experience
Really wanted this camera to be as brilliant as it's described but after using it for nearly a month it just wasn't the case. Really fell in love with the panoramic shot feature which originally clinched the purchase beyond all the other high tech aspects of this camera. But the results were mixed and in the end I returned the purchase to Amazon (Thank you Amazon for an excellent return policy!).I could not compensate for two big photo issues:1) I kept getting a bit of a "fish-eye" lens effect especially when I was closer to objects. But even when taking a group photo standing 10 or more feet away, the edges of the image slightly curved off to the background while the center was pulled forward. I couldn't understand why this was happening and it became annoying.2) Camera had a hard time handling bright light or objects with bright colors outside. Other reviews here mention a type of "photoshopping" effect they noticed in their photos or odd diffusion. I now know what they meant. Again, no matter how I messed with the settings, and I messed with them A LOT, the outdoor images in sunlight were somewhat hazy. Say a subject in an outdoor shot wore a bright color shirt...that shirt would generate a "hot spot" in that area of the photo or a hazy glow. I may be describing it poorly but the bottom line is that outdoor photos were not crisp, sharp or all that colorful. If anything I think the colors were dulled or washed out in end results. In some shots it's almost as if I had vasoline on my lens...diffusing everything in the shot, a la how the "The VIEW" is shot.I've seen people comment here that well, maybe the white balance needed some adjustment. Ok, I did mess with that but at the same time this model camera should be able to be used straight up as a point-n-shoot. With today's technology, it's not too much to ask for a 16M digital camera to just give me very good images outdoors without having to mess with settings for every kind of circumstance.Just to say something positive, I was very impressed with the zoom feature of this model. I could stand on the opposite side of a yard, zoom in on a subject, then take that digital image and crop it in even closer and the details were still held fast in the end result. Also, I tried out the HD video once or twice and was pleased with the results of both image and sound. Now I just need to start all over again and find a camera that can put it all together.

Amazing Photos!
I purchased this as an early Christmas gift for myself and I am SO glad I did. It is very easy to use even without looking at the instructions that come with it. I used it today to take outdoor concert photos and they turned out beautifully. I searched for over a year to find a new camera that I liked, had the features I was looking for, and had a decent price. I love the Intelligent Auto Mode, it takes the guesswork out of which mode to use for photos, it automatically senses what you are taking a photo of and adjusts for it. Wonderful, wonderful camera and I am so glad I made this purchase.

AWESOME CAMERA
I have only had this camera for a week and already love it!! I have been taking pictures for years, my first camera was the disc. If that doesn't age me I don't know what does. I have had many cameras through the years and this is by far the best yet. It is so easy to use, takes great shots and the video is amazing. Took my 2 year old to the beach and couln't stop snapping the pics! Couldn't wait to go home, load them on the laptop and print them out!! The quality of these photos are crystal clear and picture perfect. I would highly recommend this camera.

NIce little camera
Really like it especially for the price. Great pics, much better than with my cell. The user manual is huge, over 230 pages. I'll only ever use a few of the functions. Fits easily in my backpack. Can use with one hand. The videos come out very nice. My only complaint is it does not come with the usb cord to transfer pics from the camera to my laptop. That can be purchased separately. That's the reason I'm giving it 4 stars.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
They sold me a broken camera and then refused to give me a refund but instead just gave me $35 credit. Don’t buy from this it’s not trustworthy. Can’t believe i spent $200 on a camera just for it to be broken immediately. Specifically the part that was broken was where the battery goes into. It wouldn’t hold the batteries charge even after I charged my batteries up all the way. I emailed them and told them the problem and they told me to try buying new batteries and so I did to see if that was the problem but still they didn’t work. Then I had to wait some time for my new batteries to come in the mail just for them to end up not working either, so then they refused to give me a refund because I was passed the 30 day refund limit, which is genuinely so stupid because the only reason I was past the refund date was because they told me to try to buy new batteries and try cleaning out any possible dust that could be in the battery holder. My camera only stays alive for 1 minute then it dies, no matter how long I charged all my batteries. Words can’t describe my anger for this company.
