Shift Arm Base Shifter Bracket Replacement for Can-Am Renegade Outlander Gen 2 Billet 707000971

I was driving my 4 wheeler when all of a sudden it dropped out of gear and went into reverse. YIKES! I could not get it out of reverse, so I backed it home (fortunately I was not far). I thought it was the transmission. When I got a price from dealer, he quoted up to $3000 (without actually seeing it - I just asked for worse case scenario). I did some googling and found there was a plastic piece that linked the gear shifter to the gears. I pulled the covers off and sure enough the plastic piece was broken. I found this metal one on amazing and was able to replace it and it is PERFECT! For under $20 I was able to get her running again! If you own a CAN AM and it is hard to shift, I recommend just replace your plastic piece with this metal one. Cheapest repair yet!

Great Upgrade. Shifting per plastic in cold weather fails, this upgrade is easy to install and keeps the machine in the gear you need.

Nice crisp feel. Installed on a 2024 can-am outlander 1000r Xxc (with 12hours on it) When I removed the factory plastic one, there was already a small crack forming on it. Glad I replaced it with this. Feels a lot better when shifting as well.

A Must have and easy to install.The other one is plastic. I think the firmness of this one allows for a smoother shift. I Did NOT have to adjust the linkage like some have stated in other reviews. Cheap upgrade and looks nice too. The other one will eventually crack especially if your a hard rider. Plus it sits by a hot engine so it gets weak and flex

Canam should take notes- these need to be OEM on new machines. Fit and finish were impeccable. This replacement part is CNC machined and will function far better than the cheesy plastic it replaced. See my pics of the before and after… note the plastic piece broken in half. I’m very happy with the workmanship and value of this part. Not only is it far superior to the plastic OEM, but it was cheaper too. Folks, you can’t go wrong here- thanks for reading.

While the OEM plastic part works fine for most people, there’s numerous accounts of it breaking while out on the trail, making shifting impossible without removing several of the plastics.This aluminum replacement part fits perfectly, and is a simple swap that you can do preemptively to help prevent breakage at an inopportune moment. It does require removing several of the ATV plastics but is easily done at home in under an hour without any special tools.
