Sony DSC-W310 12.1MP Digital Camera with 4x Wide Angle Zoom with Digital Steady Shot Image Stabilization and 2.7 inch LCD (Silver)

My wife was looking for a small digital camera that she could keep in her purse and the Sony DSC310 is perfect. We had previously seen this little camera on sale at Sam's Club. When we went back to buy it, it was no longer on sale. We asked if they would honor the sale price, even though it was just a day or two past the sale date, and they would not. Went to Amazon.com and not only did we find it for the sale price that Sam's had offered, but got it with no sales tax and free shipping. She has been very happy with the quality of the pictures she has taken so far.

This camera drove me crazy with the screen freeze problem over and over again,so I had to return it just 3 day after I got them, I even wrote a letter to the company to explainthe camera has this unbelievable problem, because the guy on the phone told me if the camera has problem,they won't charge restocking fee, but they still charged me $15, I guess no matterwhat reason you return, they would charge 15% anyway.Just stay away from this company, DataVision Computer Video. I went to Bestbuy and boughtan Olympus waterproof camera without any risk to be charged restocking fee and I can returnit in 14 days, also they matched the online price(only on bestbuy.com). Good service made a difference.By the way, I've been using Sony sybershot for many years, but this DSC-W310 is very cheap made,the back of the camera is all plastic, very cheap, and this screen freeze problem is a big headache,my old sybershot only has 7.2 MP but it is much much better and the picture is much clearer than this one.I am so disappionted that I had to switch to a different brand.

This camera is amazing! I have had a sony camera before but I recently purchased this one because I broke my other one. This camera is inexpensive for what it does. The videos work well and the pictures come out crystal clear. The camera automatically adjusts its lens to what type of lighting your trying to capture the picture in. You can edit a photo right on the camera before even uploading it to your computer. The sleek matte look makes it look like an expensive camera. I'm a college student and it captures my friends as well as sites around the city

The camera is great my daughter loves it, esp. the pink color. We did think it was going to be thinner than the atual camera- because the advertisement showed the camera being placed in back pockets of jeans. FYI- I would not recommend this because of the LCD screen. The only disappointment was that it did not come with a memory card. Even one with a minute amount of memory would have been better than none at all; luckily she we had one that fit from another source.

This is a nice little simple digital camera with a 4 x zoom. I needed a small camera to carry in my purse or pocket. I do a lot of nature photography and also take photos of church activities. My other Sony - much more sophisticated and with a 15X zoom - is a bit cumbersome to carry around. So far this new one has worked out well.My tip to amateur photographers is always have a camera at hand. You never know when a photo op will present itself.

I purchased this as a gift, and one of the criteria was that it had to be pink. This fit the bill. Ive always liked Sony products, and this one doesnt disappoint. The image quality is good, has a lot of features, and the battery life is good. I do recommend getting a second battery to have as a spare. My only complaint with this camera is that it has no option to take black and white photos. Before people say 'just make it black and white on your computer!'... I shouldnt have to. I had a Sony a couple of models below this one that took great black and white pictures, every cell phone Ive had with a camera has a black and white option, but its absent from this model. Its not a huge deal, but its frustrating when you want that feature. Overall, I like this camera, but its four stars since it lacks a black and white feature.

When I got the camera and snapped photos, a bunch of white lines pop up on it. very disappointing.
