At first glance and from other reviews, I purchased this for outside use, for dog droppings. The can looks good, the lid and mechanism works well. However, there are some major problems with this device. The bail (the metal half circle handle that lifts the interior bucket) is on the inside of the bucket. This is absurd. All bails on all buckets are on the outside, not on the inside. This means that whatever is inside the bucket will contact the bail, and thus, your hands. Worse, if you try to keep things cleaner by lining the bucket with a plastic bag, when dumping, the bag hangs up on the bail (since the bail is on the inside), and makes the entire mess impossible to cleanly use. Secondary, within six months, the inside of the lid is completely rusted. This is probably because the galvanized metal of the lid was poorly applied; most of the protection is on the outside. So the metal lid rusts from the inside out. So, if you want a huge hassle and your hands contacting the "trash" inside the bucket every time your dump, this works, and if you don't mind cleaning, drying, and spray painting the inside of the lid with, say, evaporative cooler coating or vehicle undercoating, this is for you. For me, I'll try something else now.

I like to take out the trash often to avoid attracting pests so this was a perfect kitchen trash size for my husband and I. Love the retro look not overdone and kitsch and far nicer than getting a common modern style can.

Love my trashcan I have it on my porch so people have a place for their trash when they visit and I’m constantly using it myself. Keeps the Raccoons out which is why I bought this to begin with.

We have a German Shepherd who produces a lot of waste. For years we have been using the YardPup dog waste pickup system, which uses old grocery bags. This product stays outside in the weather and after over 8 years it still performs well. Problem? The grocery bags. We want to get away from using plastic grocery bags for anything. I haven't found a compostable/biodegradable bag that will sustain the elements for about a week to replace them in the YardPup. So we came up with another idea. We will be using the 5 gallon pedal bin, with the 7 gallon biodegradable bags lining the inside bucket and the metal tray/rake system to collect the waste. So we will see how this works and I'll report back.The only complaint was that the waste bin came with two dings already in the lid. The metal is not the strongest and does bend. I was able to partially pop out one of the dings. It seems to open and close easily with the pedal mechanism and the black interior lining bucket seems substantial and has its own handle.

We're a 2 big dog family and I purchased the All States 6 Gallon Galvanized Storage Bin to help clean up the poop. I liked the look and the size but having to completely take off the lid and put it back on wasn't the best option. This can is similar and size and look and it's no-hands. is worth the price. It's kept exclusively outside so we'll see how it holds up through the winter. So far, so good. It closes slow, so I usually give it a gentle push to speed it along . When closed, nice tight seal...has helped tremendously keep the fly population down

This works exactly as expected. On the inside, there’s a removable hard plastic tub with a handle. This is a trash can within a trash can! Great product!

Medidas y forma tal y como esperaba. La asa de arriba al segundo dia al cogerlo se solto un remache. Espero que poniendo otro lo arregalré. Yo le pongo bolsas de 30 litros. Creo que la bolsa de 20 litros le queda justa. La base resbala a la hora de apretar el pedal con el pié. El pedal queda algo hacia arriba a la hora de apretarlo.

Das Design gefiel und deshalb bestellt.Ein Mülleimer für 65€ in der Größe steht in Konkurrenz zu Brabantia oder Hailo, aber...Das Ding ist billigstes nicht entgratetes Pressblech. Der Fußöffner schafft es den Deckel 10cm anzuheben. Der Deckel geht dann nicht wieder automatisch runter. Bei jedem zweiten Mal treten öffnet er sich gar nicht. . Als ich am Deckelgriff anfasste, hatte ich den auch gleich in der Hand. Der Deckel sitzt auch schief drauf. Übelste Verarbeitung und Material - schade ums Material.Ich weiß absolut nicht, wie man dieses Produkt mit 65€ einpreisen kann.

Der Eimer als solches ist optisch nett anzuschauen und macht einen wertigen und stabilen Eindruck.Doch bei näherer Betrachtung sowie im praktischen Einsatz erwies sich insbesondere die Tretmechanik als mangelhaft.Diese hakelige Konstruktion ist einfach ein Lacher,da sollte man für das Geld etwas bessere Qualität erwarten können.Die Mechanik zum öffnen des Deckels hielt nicht einmal eine Woche.
