Flopro Professional Metal Double Male Hose Connector, Chrome

Became fed up with previous plastic reel constantly leaking and when the handle broke off I was prompted to look for something better.Found the Flopro here and its all-metal construction had me convinced it would be a better option. The Reviews here said the wall brackets are the thing that let's this down and agree they're the only parts that look like they may not last. Another aspect of complaint was that the reel bounces on the wall when winding due to it only coming with brackets to secure the top, so I measured the offset and purchased a set of 25mm stainless steel saddle clamps which are now used to secure both the top and bottom bar so it's rock solid on the wall now.I went full hog and used brass fittings, silicone greased the o-rings and fitted a lever type tap plus a decent spray nozzle. Our hose is now so quick easy and clean to use. Not the cheapest solution,but hope it will last and what a pleasure to use compared to old setup. See photos for saddle clamp brackets for wall mount.

Yip great reel sturdy but pricey and brackets let it down thin painted mild steel, also screws holding reel wheels are rusting in less than a week,shame realy please see pic.Have also fitted lower bracket see pic to stop it moving from wall.Just one more thing if you need spares to repair this reel there is none available thats straight from the manufacturers.

I was reluctant to pay the seemingly high price for this item but having taken the plunge was pleasantly surprised. Some very minor assembly required by means of screwing the handle on, but otherwise ready to go. This is a pretty simple item by design but uses decent thickness of stainless steel and aluminium frame. Feels very sturdy and should not tarnish over time.Well worth the extra money versus the typical plastic ones. This feels like it will last a long time. It has an almost homemade quality about it given the sturdy build. Rarely can you buy items like this nowadays.Nowhere on the item, packaging or listing could I find information about country of origin. Any time in my experience this information cannot be found, it means made in China. I assume that is the case here unfortunately.I wound up a 25m Gardena SuperFlex 13mm hose and it could obviously take more than this, winds very easily.

A sturdy hose reel which will last a life time. Arrived sooner than stated and build quality is superb. Only negative that I have is that the fixing brackets seem flimsy so I secured the reel to the wall with rubber lined pipe clips (available in good plumbing suppliers) also I substituted the inlet hose connector with a washing machine hose which is stronger. All in all I would highly recommend..

This is such a massive improvement on the previous cheap plastic hose reel I've been persevering with for a few years (despite the handle snapping a couple of years ago!}. Well made and runs beautifully.I will, though, add my voice to those who're commenting about the quality of the wall brackets - truly crap. Thin painted mild steel, and supplied with steel screws. Would it really add much or anything to the cost to use stainless steel for the fittings? I'd far sooner have better fittings than spare washers (which tend to last ages and spares will be lost by the time they're needed!)I live in a very windy coastal area (Orkney) and the reel reassures me; I've binned the fixings, though, and made my own saddle clips from stainless sheet and attached using stainless screws. An extra hour work and the reel is not easily removable, but the rigidity and quality of the originals persuaded me that it would probably hang far longer if I simply started from scratch.Yes, I'm banging on about this. The contrast between the clips and the reel itself is actually jarring, and I would recommend this reel wholeheartedly if the qualities matched; as it is, unless you don't wish to wall mount, treat with caution. Does the supplier read these reviews? I'm trying to be helpful!

Quality stainless steel hose reel. With the supplied two brackets the unit tends to bounce on the wall, so I replaced with 4x brass Munsen pipe clamps and some bits of rubber car mat. The unit now works superbly, and should last for many years.

Bought this to replace my Hozelock reel which had become brittle on the plastic and the legs had rusted through. It is an ex-reel, it is no more, it has gone to meet its maker (the tip).This FloPro Reel is Stainless Steel and Aluminium and build quality is first class.Included are all the items required - Handle, extra washers, hose unions etc. No extra tools are required to assemble.AND IT LOOKS GREAT MOUNTED TO THE WALL.Thoroughly recommended and it should last forever if you look after it - unlike the Hozelock.

In the past I’ve had some rather weak plastic hose reals which only last a few years and a rather cumbersome and flimsy for the weight of the hose wound up, so this product although a bit pricey does seem to be far more solid than the other hose rails I’ve had and you’re able to fix it on the wall for better security everything seems to be fine for winding up and easy release when letting it out setting it up is straight forward ,although one disadvantage I would like to have had two extra brackets to secure it from the bottom as when winding up it does tend to jump about and it would give extra stability, even so it is much superior to the ones I’ve had in the past and I’m pleased with this product.
