Optoma W312 Full 3D WXGA 3200 Lumen DLP Data Projector with Full Digital and Analog Connectivity and 20,000:1 Contrast Ratio

After doing a lot of search online for about a month, i decided to go with this projector. I was excited to explore the projector and the moment i received it, i did every possible tests that i could perform on this projector. The 4K video from the laptop connected via HDMI works perfectly great.The picture quality is amazing crystal clear when it plays 4K,1080p and 720p. This projector is not expensive and with a cheaper price you could probably afford to buy and make a best home theater. 20,000:1 ratio contrast gives a very good brightness for all the videos even with low ambient light.Few cons that i would like to share with you guys,1) Projector heats up fast coz of the bulb and though there is a fan inside the projector2) The inbuilt speaker is not great at all and might not matter at all the projector is connected to the home theater speakers.3) There is no lens cap that comes along the projector4) No HDMI cable5) Remote is very tiny and not handful, which really is not great.6) You might feel a little head ache after watching 2 or 3 movies.7) Every time you blink your eyes you can probably see the RED,Blue,Green shade, this could probably happen with all the DLP and 3LCD projectors.8) No USB option and Mini USB is for upgrading the projector9) No built in Android systemFew Pros are1) Good Native resolution.2) Cheap price with good Lumens and Contrast ratio.3) Projector comes with carry bag4) Good life of the bulb if you use it with ECO+ mode.5) Good plasticFinally, this projector works best with Carl's Flexiwhite and FlexiGrey projector material, which is a cheap projector screen that is sold on Amazon. Carl's does a great job by providing the customer a right projector screen raw material. None of the other company sells the screen as cheap as Carl's blackout Diy projector screen.I have also purchased M8s android smart TV, which works amazing with the projector to play 4K or 1080p movies, in case you don't want to buy a blue-ray player or don't want to use a laptop to play movies all the time.Altogether i would say this is an amazing projector, which worth the money you pay. This projector fulfills my dream for having a home theater and the purpose.

Out of the box this projector works brilliantly. It runs a little hot and the fan noise is noticeable, but by no means overbearing and can't be heard over any kind of volume coming from your media. Picture quality is fantastic, i have it hooked up to the XBox One with great results. Bright enough to play in ambient light easily. Audio isn't great, but easy to hook up externals. My concern is over longevity, both in the hardware and for the lamp. Will update if anything develops on that end, but a couple days in I am a very satisfied customer.Note - does not come with HDMI cord (VGA only).Edit - Had a friend over to watch a movie who was bugging out about the rainbow effect. Doesn't bother me at all, I can only notice it if I really concentrate, but if you're very sensitive to it, may want to find alternate options.

I love this projecter. I use it in a home theater, yet like it because it's also portable with included carry case. This projecter is bright with very good color and contrast. Can easily watch with lights on although better with them off of course. All HD content looks great. Nice and sharp. It was super easy to setup with remote. Be sure to go thru menus to optimize for your purposes. I have it sitting on a bookshelf (with another small fan that blows on it..although I'm sure would be fine without it). I keep the internal speaker off and use external sound system. It works great. I think the adjustable feet could have been better. They are just 3 screws that screw in/out with rubber bumpers but seem to work fine. Would have preferred 4 larger ones that are more robust. I've had no issues with ghosting, artifacts, etc. It auto detects HDMI input with just small delay. I also bought a cheap external HDMI switcher to connect more sources. Works fine with it. Couldn't be happier...can't beat this for the money.

There is a lot to love about this thing. For one, the picture is gorgeous and bright, even in moderate natural light. When you get the picture really big, like 12 feet across, you can see the individuals pixels, but at that size, you'll be pretty far back, and the sheer size of the picture will wow you either way. The only complaints would be the speaker, pretty weak, but with the gorgeous picture this produces you should should have a decent surround sound anyway, so that's not a big deal. Also, the remote is small, and pretty cheap and flimsy. You can control everything without the remote, so the quality of the remote is only a problem if the projector is mounted too high to reach. Overall, this is a fantastic projector and good value. I'm amazed that I'm able to project such a gorgeous pictures for the money

The image is ok, but when connected to HDMI, any time you open or close a full screen application it looses signal and will not get the signal back unless you select the input again in the projector menu. When connected to VGA it will eventually get the signal back but flashes a bunch of distorted image on the screen and take 10-15 seconds to clear up. Looks very unprofessional when giving a presentation.

I was looking for a new projector that could be used equally well for a boardroom presentation and watching a movie and this projector does just that. The WXGA resolution means that it natively connects to various sources without scaling or any image manipulation and the brightness works perfect for showing detail even in well-lit rooms.My first task for this was a photo slideshow in a room that turned out to be pretty well lit and it worked perfectly and all of the photos were just a vibrant as I imagined they would be. This past weekend I streamed a football game and projected it on a wall in my house and it worked flawlessly for that (again, during the day so it was well-lit with natural light).All in all a great projector for the price
