I doubt it. They are for sale as a whole entire unit. Anything is possible though.

Not certain what router you're running that pulls 17 amps? Most of the major brands (DeWalt, Bosch, Porter Cable, Triton, Milwaukee, Festool, etc) peak at 15 amp. My guess would be that you wouldn't be able to use it with something drawing more amps simply because the outlet configuration won't match your plug end, as it would need a 20 amp socket.

it'll work. it's made for this stuff. i have it on my Record Power lathe. i keep it away from the line of fire in case i get in trouble. actually, i need another one for my Nova Comet midi lathe. it would be handy for a router, maybe place it on the floor so you can step on it. when i took it out of the box, i was surprised at how sturdy and substantial the thing was. the big red paddle is easy to hit when your stock is about to fly off the chuck and toward your head.

Q: Is the Stop paddle for sale by itself? I knocked mine off and can't find it.

as far as I know it isn't or at least I have never seen just the paddle by itself for sale.

Works perfectly, safe and durable!

I use this on a table mounted portable band saw. Honestly, the table kits should come with these things. I had previously "rigged" up a string to pull on to release the Velcro strap that held the trigger down. This is so much better, works reliably, and is considerably safer. The stop paddle stays depressed keeping everything off until you lift it and press start. Install is as easy as screw it to the bench and plug it in. The cord is sufficiently long. The construction is tough enough to hold up in a mobile metal shop trailer. Overall perfect for that added bit of safety.

Worth the money

Price is right, quality has something to be desired. Wouldn't recommend for daily use but occasional use it's worth it.

Old saw safety tune up

The old saw just had a light switch for on/off, which was hard to find to turn on/off. This is a much safer and easier option to have on the saw. Works great, seems like it has good solid contacts for on and off.

More than an On/Off Switch

I use a benchtop mounted router frequently. Routers can be nasty if you let your attention stray. The oversize STOP paddle switch allows you to easily shut things down quickly when necessary. You can set it up to operate with your leg or knee. Once stopped you have to physically pull the stop switch back out before the START button works. This is great for the router table because it allows you to swap out bits, change elevation and reset the fence without accidently starting the router or unplugging everything to assure it won't start. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Solid controller for woodworking tools

I built a table for an old and very powerful router. The switch on the router was funky and it was not easily accessed when the router was mounted in the table. Running the power through the Fulton switch gave me positive on/off control and I can switch it with my knee meaning I don't have to take a hand off the work-piece; a great enhancement to safety and convenience for a modest price.

great safety switch

I mounted my table saw into my workbench which meant the power switch was going to be difficult to reach but this works great. I mounted it to the side right in line with my knee so I can kill the power without the use of my hands.
